GARAGE ART SALE
When the whole concept of the garage sale came up in our art school, the first question popped up was, “what do I put up!” The idea was to come up with some simple products mostly made out of waste where the cost had to be as minimum as possible. It was a do it yourself project in a way.
I wanted to try some lamps. Bang on! What better chance to experiment. ;)
My inspiration came from the old cafes where different style of lighting is used, something innovative. I started with a walk around the old streets of Pune where you get to see a lot of trash and old, broken, torn out and worn out pieces of everything one can think. In fact, every city has a market of its own where you could find treasure like this. There were gunnies filled with dirty old alcohol bottles, and so many. Any brand you ask for. :D That was it. Picked up some bottles, some lights and started.
There were some old cups and saucers laying which also got a new life! Turned them into little hanging lamps.
